Welcome to the Green Oak!
A spacious contemporary self-contained 2nd floor apartment which can sleep six located in the centre of Llanfyllin. The Green Oak was originally built as an 18th century coaching inn and has been aesthetically restored by the owners, Judith and Michael Banks. There are magnificent views of the hills from every window.
Llanfyllin has a long and interesting history. The ancient market town with a population of approximately 1,200 has considerable architectural variety. Part of the town’s charm is its beautiful setting in the Cain Valley, surrounded by gently rolling hills which are typical of Mid-Wales.
As guests ,when you choose a holiday at the Green Oak,you can have the peace of mind that your carbon footprint will be offset by the recent planting of 7000 trees,15 acres of indigenous woodland as a wildlife sanctuary at their local farm Coed Tan-y-Ffordd.
As Green Oak guests, you will be welcome to walk round and experience this newly planted woodland with its glades, rides and picnic areas.Judith and Michael also home rear Traditional Rare Breed Tamworth pigs and Marren chickens which you have the privilege of purchasing as bacon ,sausages ,chops ,joints and eggs to enhance your holiday. The animals can be seen free ranging on the farm which is only three miles out of town.
